That crazy insane thing people do. Commit to one person for the rest of their lives.
So, I was at my friends wedding this summer, and we were plotting for me to catch the bouquet. Unfortunately, her older sister was also gunning for it. You know Jenn? The Tinder writer for Smart Snobs. The fitness model. The One that Defeated Cancer and Could Easily Take Me Out. Yeah that one.
So naturally, I had to get ready.
Thats me in the blue, and after a struggle I caught the bouquet and KNOCKED JENN OUT! Yes. Those are her feet in the air.
Oh and in case you were wondering, I did not help her up. I just kept celebrating.
Well, apparently this tradition works, because I’M ENGAGED.
I know I know. Stop getting so emotional! Geez!
So, obviously I’ve decided to start a wedding section to our blog, because I cannot believe how many options there are out there and how difficult my indecisiveness has made my life! I know a bunch of people have been getting engaged in my friend group, so I’m hoping some of this will be helpful to anyone else who is engaged and wondering what to do next!
So. If you are in the same boat as I am, trying to plan a wedding, or are just interested in ideas for your own, I will be keeping you updated on a regular basis about decisions, options and tools that have helped me!
The first tool I found that I think is brilliant is called “Postable.”
Now I’m not sending out invitations or save the dates yet, but I can’t believe how brilliant this tool is.
1. You can start your mailing list whenever you want which is great. This way, I know that if I even put in 5 day, I’ll be done in a month! Then I don’t have to write out all the addresses by hand, and I don’t have to worry about it every time something new comes up (i.e. engagement parties, bachelorette party, save the date, invitation, thank you letters etc.)
2. You can pick from 100’s of cards that have various looks and you’re sure to find something you love.
3. YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAND WRITE ANYTHING!
Anyway, I’ve already started putting in my addresses and I’m very excited about it.
Hope this helps all you new brides to be! Let me know how you like it.
Until next time
