American Apparel’s Thigh-High Socks: $21
They go on your feet, come in pairs, have the potential to give off an unpleasant odour and are pretty much just another piece to the whole getting-ready puzzle.
But even though they’re a wardrobe staple and come in all different shapes and sizes, there’s one particular type of sock that might not be in everyone’s drawers, and should be.
That type of sock, my friends… is the thigh-high.
I just bought a new pair of thigh-high socks after my last pair suffered a painful and gruesome death (I cut them up so that I could wear them in my hair as sock buns). This new pair of thigh-highs are absolutely amazing, and this is why.
Not only do they keep my legs really warm and cozy as the weather gets colder, I can also choose which length I want to wear them at. Unlike shorter socks, you can wear thigh-highs up to your thigh, just over-the-knees or as knee-highs. Not to mention they allow you to wear shorts in the winter and look adorable while doing it.
On top of it all, thigh-highs are totally in style right and can be found all over the place. I bought American Apparel’s Cotton Solid Thigh-High Socks in a basic black for $21, but you can find them in various colours and patterns if you want them to be a little bit more noticeable. Urban Outfitters also carries a nice line of thigh-highs in all textures and colours for as low as $14, and you can also find them in Wal-Mart and Target too!
