Easter weekend? Pff.
HAPPY RECORD STORE DAY!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. A time when you and yours can go from record store to record store with like minded miscreants, scanning the aisles to find some great new records. The smell of vinyl is in the air.
According to the official Record Store Day website, www.recordstoreday.com, RSD is…”This is a day for the people who make up the world of the record store—the staff, the customers, and the artists—to come together and celebrate the unique culture of a record store and the special role these independently owned stores play in their communities.”
On this day, there are special releases (gasp!), there are performances by your favorite artists (no way!), there are sales and specials (get outta here!), and there are festivities galore (holy dina!).
RSD is proudly recognized by every continent in the world besides Antarctica! So surely you can find somewhere to go in your city. Don’t live in a city? There are dozens of online retailers justwaiting to take your money. No worries.
