As you read this, I’m partying in Cleveland!
Cleveland is one of my favorite American cities and not only because I have friends there and we seem to always get into our own brand of trouble!
Cleveland is gritty, pretty, rock n rolly, and all around awesomey (sorry).
Here is the non-definitive list of my must-do’s when I’m in Cleveland!
1) Rock N’ Roll Hall Of Fame – A MUST for any music fan. Feel like reading Jim Morrison’s report card or gazing upon the couch that Jimi Hendrix wrote his jams on? Yeah ya do.
2) Cheer on the Cleveland Indians – The essential Ohioian thing to do! Get yourself a hotdog (or veggiedog), a giant foam finger, a baseball cap, and sing your own rendition of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame”
3) Visit the “A Christmas Story” house – The infamous address… 3159 W 11th St, Cleveland, OH 44109 (Okay well maybe not so infamous). But for a mere $10 you can take a tour of the place! I know that Toronto is all like (OMG GUYS A CHRISTMAS STORY IS TOTALLY OURS) but in fact it was shot in Cleveland as well as Tdot. Do you like Christmas? Visit this house.
4) Take a Tour of Johnny Cash’s tour bus – You’ll have to look up when this bus is open tor tours as it usually shuts down for the winter. Stand where Mr. Cash stood, see where he ate, where his driver sat.. etc. A great little tour for any Cash fan!
