Happy Friday, Snobs!
You’ll have to forgive me for keeping this week’s post short and sweet. Between completing Part 2 of my move-in and helping out at the Toronto International Film Festival, I have a crazy busy day ahead of me.
BUT I couldn’t leave you hanging, so I’m leaving you with a delicious, stupid-easy, and relatively healthy recipe instead.
Pan Fried Honey Bananas!
Mmmm… is your mouth watering yet?
Before I offer you the How-To for this absolutely divine dish, I need to first admit that I can’t take full credit for this recipe or this picture. I found it on fifteenspatulas.com, loved the idea of it, tried it, and then decided to try it again with an added ingredient.
– just ripened bananas
– cocoa powder
1. Slice up bananas into pieces that are about a 1/2 inch thick.
2. Add honey, butter, cinnamon, cocoa powder and salt to non-stick skillet. Heat it up on low-medium temp.
3. Add banana slices to skillet.
4. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side so that they become caramelized and turn that desired golden-brown colour.
These puppies are probably delicious with some peanut butter (because since when have bananas not been delicious with peanut butter?) or over some vanilla or chocolate ice cream.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Until next time, stay fabulous. xo
