I went home to see my parents for the weekend after they had just gotten back from Italy. I have to say, my mom typically has interesting tastes, but this recipe she introduced me to topped it for anything I’ve ever tried.
She raved about a drink called a “Negroni” that everyone in Italy drinks and insisted that I had to try it.
So, as a trusting daughter does, I let her make me one with no questions asked.
I don’t know what it is about this drink. Maybe it’s because I expected something sweet, or maybe it’s because I’m just too in love with red wine and I feel like I’m cheating on it if I drink anything else, but I can NOT get my taste buds to enjoy this!
Tell me this picture doesn’t make you think of a sweet drink:
If you haven’t tried it, please do, and then let me know if I’m crazy or give me some proof to tell my mother she is.
