I FEEL FAT.
Okay… Fine. I HAVE MORE FAT THAN I WANT RIGHT NOW. It’s amazing how gaining even 5 pounds completely changes the way that some people look at themselves but it does! Realistically, I just feel unhealthy. That’s a better statement. Let me try again.
I feel unhealthy.
As most of you know, I’m a fairly healthy eater. I love to indulge, but I definitely keep a clean diet 90% of the time. Well this weekend was lots of food and alcohol, and not enough working out. Since it’s been a crazy long weekend I’ve decided to try the Paleo diet for the next 2 weeks to reboot my health and I would love if you guys would join me!!
For some of you who don’t know, the Paleo diet is also known as the caveman diet, and it’s all about just eating healthy. Organic and free range meats and eggs. Fruits, Vegetables and Nuts and then also other things in very minimal quantities. I could describe it but here is an overview. It’s all about controlling the crap that we put in our bodies that weren’t around 100 years ago.
I’ve wanted to try this diet for a long time now, although I’m not really a “diet” kind of person. I eat healthy and I think that health should just be a lifestyle, but sometimes you need a boost if you’ve had a bad weekend. So, I am not PROMOTING this diet as a long term solution for weight loss, but I have heard that people have had a lot of success in feeling great and losing weight.
SO I’M DOING IT – and I think you should too!
I thought that maybe some of you might want to join me on this adventure, so I will be posting recipes and work outs over the next 2 weeks to get you started!
5 excuses to not do this with me made insignificant and worthless:
1. I like wine too much
You can drink wine. Next.
2. I like dark chocolate too much.
You can have dark chocolate (within reason). Next
3. I don’t think diets are healthy
I don’t like diets either. Did you read anything I just said? This is all about just eating healthy and changing the way you eat. Not counting calories or cutting out everything you love.
4. I don’t think it will work.
You don’t know unless you try and there is NO downside to eating healthy.
5. I can never stick to working out
I’ll be your motivator! I promise if you follow us on twitter, facebook and instagram, you will have all the motivation you need.
So there you go. Come with me on this journey. Since tomorrow is Canada day, I assume most people will be eating poorly and drinking lots, so I’ll start to post recipes and work outs tomorrow and you can start whenever you want.
I know, right? It’s so easy.
Finally, remember don’t diet and don’t ever change your lifestyle for someone else. DO THIS FOR YOU. I think you’ll be happy if you do.
