Today I’m very excited to say that we have a guest writer! Tayler Ferri. She is one of the best Lifestyle PR Account Managers and she has a great Guide to (actually) Enjoying Winter in Toronto.
If you’ve somehow failed to miss the minus-below-temperatures, the flock of Canada Goose jackets that have taken over Torontonians or the festive holiday window displays that have made their annual return to Bloor Street – take note… we’re in full on winter-mode.
And, if you’re anything like me, as soon as the temperatures begin to drop, even slightly, you’re ready to call it quits, pack-up and head on vacation. But then again, if you’re anything like me, a number of factors come in to play as the end of the year nears, most of which revolve around finances and vacation (or the lack there of).
Now before you get all depressed at the thought of having to spend the rest of your vacation days cooped up watching Netflix, which actually isn’t anything to complain about at all, let me share with you my 2015 Winter Wonderland Guide:
2. Celebrate the holiday season while drinking in a Yurt – the only one of its kind at Ceili Cottage
3. Join a unique (indoor) sports team like the The Toronto Backyard Axe Throwing League to keep things warm and interesting
4. Lace up for a skate at Nathan Phillips Square or any other one of Toronto’s many (indoor) and outdoor ice rink
5. Feast like a king (on a budget) during Winterlicious
So what are you waiting for? Get out there, catch some snowflakes and enjoy winter!
